The 54th Annual Gold Nugget Awards, presented by the PCBC (Pacific Coast Builders Conference), recognizes those who improve our communities through exceptional concepts in design, planning and development.
The grand winners will be announced during the PCBC Show on June 29th at the San Diego Convention Center.
AO Partners RC Alley, Steve Gaffney and Ken Smith and Senior Project Manager Andy Thomas recently visited Turing at the Fields to review the construction mock up of the retail façade. The 371-unit, mixed use wrap project in Milpitas, contains approximately 50,000 sf of ground floor retail, including a 25,000 sf grocery tenant space.
Construction of The Veranda continues to progress! AO Partner Rob Budetti and Associate Jeff Stuyvesant have overseen the design and production of this exciting new development by CenterCal Properties. The Veranda is scheduled for its Grand Opening in the Fall of this year.
Recently, AO Partner Rob Budetti attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony of Mountain View Village – Phase I in Riverton, Utah. This new 37 ACRE mixed use development by CenterCal Properties is Phase I of a multi-phase lifestyle retail center which will create a gathering place for the community and will include retail, grocery and restaurants. Phase I is estimated to be open Summer 2018.

AO and MBK Rental Living are excited to see Metro Gateway’s progress, one of our latest 4 story walk up project by the La Sierra Metrolink Station in Riverside, CA.
Architects Orange Partner, Ken Smith, and Principal, Richard Clarke, spoke at a round table discussion at the 2016 ICSC Center-Build Conference focused on dissecting the millennial generation and how they affect the retail environment. Understanding the demographic first was key to getting a grasp on the shift in the retail industry. These insights revealed that this largest living generation has a few distinct behaviors that will play into our analysis later.
