Ippudo in Berkeley an Architects Orange Success!
This upscale Japanese ramen restaurant known and adored the world-over has finally opened its doors on the west coast with the elite planning and design help of AO.
Ippudo is a world-renowned Japanese tonkotsu restaurant whose operator Chikaranomoto Holdings joined with Panda Restaurant Group for this venture back in the fall of 2015, thus a partnering with AO was formed.
From the initial design submitted in fall 2015 to the final day of construction, Architects Orange spearheaded the work and created a beautiful façade and interior that simultaneously preserves the traditional Japanese culture that this restaurant exhibits as well as assimilates it into the urban street atmosphere of Downtown Berkeley. The store’s construction has been met with much anticipation from the locals in Berkeley and surrounding cities.
In the progressive and hardworking spirit that is characteristic to AO, while putting the Berkeley project to production, AO also worked on another state-of-the-art Ippudo development, Ippudo Signature, for the Four Seasons in Downtown San Francisco. Begun in early 2016, this restaurant is built for a full bar and overall enhanced dining experience and is scheduled to debut summer 2017.
